Today I make Ann Esselstyn's Mommy's Mushroom Gravy 2.0 for the first time. This is an oil-free recipe! You can really have fun with this recipe by playing around with various mushrooms to see how the flavors would out. I followed this recipe, but I wonder what the gravy would taste like with shiitake mushrooms.
INGREDIENTS:
*1 onion chopped
*2-3 garlic minced
*12 ounces mushrooms sliced
*2 C vegetable broth
*2 tsp white miso
*2 T whole wheat flour or gluten free flour mixture
*2 T low sodium tamari or soy sauce
*2 T cooking cherry (optional)
*black pepper
